Q: Can I stain my door darker?
A: Yes, we can stain your door a darker color. The only thing to keep in mind is taht the heavier the staining application, the more it will obscure/hide the natural grain pattern of the wood.
Q: Can I Stain my door lighter?
A: It is possible. It all depends on deeply the current stain has penetrated into the door. If we can successfully remove the original stain with our cleaner, then we will be able to use a lighter color. If not, we might need to re-stain using the original or a similar color.
Q: How long does it take to stain a door?
A: Weather is always a factor, but it typically takes 4-6 hours to dry.
Q: When can I close my door?
A: In the evening after the door is completed the door can be closed. If you have removed the weather stripping the door can be closed right away.
Q: Do you switch out the hardware?
A: No, we do not switch the hardware.
